Grand Judge Thaddeus Kynevald. His seat is supposed to be everything that embodies and represents the High Court of Nylevran. The prestigious lead is held only by the best of the best. Honor, Impartiality, and Wisdom are the three tenets a Judge lives by. Judge Kynevald is not a single one of those things.
You’d think slavery was still legal with how easily the man could be bought, and he makes it no secret to those on the inside. To the common people, he’s painted as a public servant and a saint. That slimy salt-and-pepper hair, combed back. His gaunt face. He wasn’t fed enough as a child, because he looks like skin and bone. Excuse my Dwarven ignorance, but he just looks downright unhealthy. The corrupt politician to end all politicians. For professional reasons, I can’t say I hate the man. If anyone ever found out, I could lose my job. Though this is a personal collection so I’ll go ahead and say it. I hate the man. He’s a snake. While Nylevran should be the top priority of the Grand Judge, Thaddeus Kynevald only looks out for his best interests. For the record, I’m not going to date these anymore. I’ll write a piece later as to how we recorded time. Office of the Reporter Douglas Stoutforge

Across most of Cyrdoma, the common language is that of the Nylevranian humans; it is often referred to as "Common". Many years prior, when the borders were finally established, their home country was constructed as the political center for all the continent. It is a simple language, and easy to learn, due to its straightforward pronunciations and writing.
Despite this, some rejected it's simplicity and decided to resist. The Ogaitnans and Ogres, to this day, mostly refuse to accept it as the common language. They adhere to their ancient and outdated tongues. For most, the two exasperating races love creating tension more than anything else. Their lack of involvement in court is also a hindrance to world affairs. I speak every language on Cyrdoma. FLUENTLY. How else could I be the best court reporter in the whole of the continent? As to how two races could just shut themselves off in such a manner is ludicrous. Perhaps I'm a bit too prideful of my skills. I simply put great value on talking things over. Signed Juneus, Tyralen - Cycle 4 Office of the Reporter Douglas Stoutforge For 500 years, The Whispering Shadow has acted as the primary covert ops and intelligence unit for Nylevran. The agents of the Shadow are to be feared, donning armor as black as night. I've met a few. Scary fellows. They are based out of their own building near the Brass Citadel of Vigilance. Referred to as The Nest, the interior seems far too small, considering how large the outside is.
Throughout Nylevran's history, they have carried all the secrets society has been led to forget. Some even say Light Magic existed at one point and built a vast order of Knights across the country. It is implied they have carried out the assassination of overly powerful political leaders. Only the Shadow knows for sure. Most famous among them is Maar Baruch. He is a dignified, distant, and powerful man. He does not tower among men, but his strike is something to be feared. It is believed he speaks every known language on Cyrdoma. His only known moment of weakness was the disappearance of his young student, Dedricus Hadiel, three years prior, which hurt him deeply. One of his most notable traits is perhaps the weapon he wields into battle. Tizona is an Ogaitnan-forged two-handed sword with a handle nearly as long as the thick blade. While appearing comical, the weapon is a slab of steel and death. Even this is a bit much. Perhaps we can discuss them more another time.
